Buying agency ‘seal of approval’ seeks to help home-buyers pick trusted advisors
June 2026 - PrimeResi

First In The Door’s Prime Property Seal of Accreditation™ aims to create ‘a curated network of best-in-class advisors.’ Buying agency matching service First In The Door has launched a badge of honour for members of its advisory panel, intended to help home-movers pick a reputable and trusted advisor.

The new Prime Property Seal of Accreditation™ is pitched as “a consumer-focused accreditation designed to bring greater clarity and consistency for homebuyers navigating the fragmented prime property advisory market.” It is intended to become “a trusted benchmark for buyers navigating the upper end of the market.”

The mark is given only to companies that have been vetted and endorsed by the FiTD team, led by founder Claire Whisker – who says the Seal is “is underpinned by selectivity rather than scale,” explaining that “more than 90% of firms are not accepted onto the panel.” The mark, she says, “reflects First In The Door’s independent endorsement based on its existing panel selection process.”

Early adopters include well-established buying agencies Black Brick and Aykroyd & Co.

First In The Door was set up by Whisker in 2023, following her own “frustrating experience” navigating property purchases in London and the countryside, and inspired by seeing how things operate in Los Angeles, USA. The platform connects home-movers with approved buying agencies, and allows them to view client reviews of prospective advisors.

Claire Whisker, Founder of First In The Door:  “The advisory landscape within the prime property market can often feel opaque, with significant variation in quality, experience and service between firms.  The Prime Property Seal of Accreditation™ has been created to help homebuyers identify trusted property advisors with greater confidence and clarity. It provides a clear signal that a firm has been independently and rigorously vetted, and recognised for consistently high standards of professionalism, experience and client service. That independence matters.”

Camilla Dell of Black Brick, a First In The Door panel member:  “For private clients navigating the prime property market, choosing the right adviser is one of the most important decisions they will make. First In The Door’s Seal of Accreditation provides a clear, independent signal of trust which is incredibly valuable, particularly in a market that can feel complex and, at times, opaque. It helps clients distinguish between firms operating to consistently high professional standards and those without the same level of scrutiny. Unlike many industry awards, which are often retrospective or marketing-led, this kind of accreditation supports decision-making at the point of instruction – when clients are actively choosing who to appoint. In a market where there is more choice than ever, anything that promotes greater transparency, integrity and confidence is a positive step.”

Hannah Aykroyd of Aykroyd & Co, another First In The Door panel member:  “The prime London property market is increasingly competitive and complex, making the quality of professional representation more important than ever. Clients need confidence that their advisor is accessing the full market — both on and off-market — and providing the experience, guidance and negotiation expertise needed to secure the best possible outcome.

“The Seal of Accreditation reflects the level of scrutiny and selectivity applied by First In The Door when assessing firms for inclusion on its panel. In a market where there is little formal benchmark for quality or professionalism, that independent endorsement carries real weight.

“At Aykroyd & Co, independence and acting solely in the best interests of the buyer are central to the way we operate. Recognition through the Seal is therefore especially meaningful to us.”
